Commentary for last week
US stocks turned higher last week and the S&P500 index jumped 3.1% by the weekly close, with dramatic gains when the price broke above the late November highs on Wednesday and kept on rising on Friday.
Last week’s trades
A good week for Nat’s option traders.
The underlying security (ESZ6) moved above her trigger to sell Calls early in the week, when there was still lots of time premium in the price.
The market was bullish, so we were able to get higher prices for the Calls we sold.
And the market closed Friday below the first strike price (2265) we sold, so all of our Calls expired OTM and we were able to retain the entire premium. A profitable week.
